at the edge of a faraway galaxy, was a small planet called Earth.
On this planet lived an exceptionally gifted species:

This species possessed such extraordinary knowledge and talent,
that before long he was able to dictate his own destiny.
And so, the members of this community
were offered an equal opportunity to express themselves.
KEO would then take flight to carry this unique fresco of messages
destined for our distant future descendants, 50,000 years from now.
A reflection of our way of life,
this record would convey both the richness and the diversity of the human experience.
